Rental Rules & Instrucitons

Book Online: Rentals are done online, and the site shows what’s available in real-time.

Stick to the Driving Maps: These carts are meant for cruising around specific areas outlined by our maps. No driving over bridges or on sand, sidewalks, grass, or bike paths. Please note that our Mokes cannot be driven on the beach. Keep it street-legal and off the wild terrain.

Charge It Up: All Cape Fear Mokes are electric, so to charge, simply plug it into a standard outlet. A full charge takes 6–8 hours and gets you around 40 miles (depending on how many people you’re carrying and how you drive).

Who Can Drive: You must be 21 or older with a valid driver’s license and car insurance to rent. Only licensed drivers listed on your insurance can drive the Moke.

Safety First: Seat belts for everyone, always. Kids under 3 need a car seat, and anyone 4 and up must be buckled in their own seat. No lap riders, no matter how quick the trip.

Keep It Legal: These rides are only allowed on roads with speed limits of 35 mph or under. Regular traffic laws apply.

No Booze or Drugs: Don’t drink and drive. No open containers, no substances, no funny business behind the wheel. If you break this rule, you’ll lose the rental and your money.

You Break It, You Buy It: You’re responsible for any damage, towing if the Moke gets stuck, or extra cleaning if it’s returned a mess. Late fees apply for rentals returned after their scheduled date.
