FREquently asked Questions

From rental details to driving rules and charging tips, everything you need to know about renting a Moke is right here. Still unsure about something? We’re just a message away.

A Moke is a small, electric, open-air vehicle originally designed for beachside cruising. It’s fun, stylish, eco-friendly, and perfect for exploring Wilmington and nearby coastal areas.

Nope! As long as you have a valid driver’s license and are at least 21 years old, you’re good to go.

Mokes typically top out at around 25 miles per hour. They’re built for laid-back coastal cruising, not highway driving.

You can drive your Moke on roads with speed limits of 35 mph or below, which includes most of downtown Wilmington, Carolina Beach, Wrightsville Beach,  and certain areas throughout Topsail, Southport, and Oak Island. They’re not allowed on highways or interstates. Please see our list of driving maps for more info.

Our fully charged Mokes can run up to 40 miles on a single charge, which is more than enough for a full day of cruising.
